February 21, 2007 - Jay Oklahoma Library Group — Romance and Library Lovers — The public library has played an important part in my writing experience. During this talk, I shared how much the different libraries in my past contributed to my writing experiences and also talked about how I write my books.
January 10, 2007 - Eastmorland Elementary, Joplin MO — The writing process will be shared with 4th grade students. Students will also have a chance to brainstorm their own story ideas.
February 10, 2007 - Missouri Southern State University - Early Childhood Conference: “Sing a Song of Childhood.” Childhood songs will be used to help young students learn pre-reading skills, math, and other subjects. For more information, contact tankersley-a@mssu.edu .
Spring 2007 – Missouri Southern State University — Using poetry in a classroom will be shared with students in the Elementary Education program. (This presentation was also given to students in Fall 2006.)
October 2, 2006 - McKinley Elementary, Joplin MO — What an author does to create a story was shared with 2nd-5th grade classes. Students also participated in writing activities.
