May 2008 - My second manuscript for the revised Everlasting line, now part of the Harlequin Super Romance line, is now on my editor’s desk. I’m now working on a new proposal idea, something different from the Everlasting books. I’ve also sold a number of short articles and will have another short article on Wedding Customs come out in the area Wedding Extravaganza magazine. I had fun with the research for that article. Who knew the bride had to stand on the groom’s left side so he could fight off her family before the wedding?

My next stop is the Ozarks Romance Authors Conference in Springfield MO. The three presenters will sign books at the Borders on Glenstone Friday night, June 1st, from 7:00. The Conference starts Saturday. More information can be found at http://www.ozarkromanceauthors.com/
My May booksigning at Books a Million was fun. Lots of people stopped by just to visit and buy my book. We talked writing and what was going on in our lives. At one time, a group of women were standing around my table and when they had to move for people coming into the store, someone said they were my ‘groupies.’ How fun is that! I never thought I’d have groupies!
Lots of news this time around! First, my book has arrived in my hands and I’ve read through the complete story. Very fun. It’s available for pre-orders and will be on the shelves the 24th of April.
I’ve SOLD a second book! No title yet and the full manuscript isn’t due until September 1. The tentative release date is the latter part of 2008.
I’m blogging at eHarlequin. com. for the month of April. Visit me there and let’s talk about books, writing, and other things.

My cover is now up at Barnes and Noble (and probably other sites as well)! It was so exciting to see the artwork and my characters come to life on the cover. Just check under: Tessa McDermid, Family Stories.
The first Everlasting Love books are now available! Fall From Grace, by Kristi Gold, and
Dancing on Sunday Afternoons, by Linda Cardillo, are great beginnings to the new line. See what you think!
Just heard FAMILY STORIES is going to Production! My editor has seen the cover. As soon as it comes to me, I’ll post it on my homepage.
The revisions have been returned to my editor. I also sent off the acknowledgements, bio, and dedication. Hard to come up with that info for me. . . easier to write about my characters than myself. Maybe a cover will be arriving soon?!?!?!
The Profile is up at the eHarlequin.com Author profiles site! Very fun and makes the coming book real. Also, information for the PR kit was sent in recently and the deadline for my art facts sheet was September 14. As soon as a copy of the cover is available, I’ll post it on the site.
Revisions for FAMILY STORIES have been sent to Harlequin for the new Everlasting line. The anticipated release date for the first books is February 2007. My book is scheduled for May 2007.
